The guidelines for importers entails that any person intending to import physical goods into Nigeria shall in the first instance process Form M through any Authorized dealer bank irrespective of the value and whether or not payment is involved with the following attached documents below:

After registration of the e-Form “M” the importer shall advise the Supplier to arrange for the shipment of the goods and upon receipt of the Final Import Documents from the Authorized Dealer Banks, Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) shall generate Pre Arrival Assessment Report (PAAR).

The guidelines for importers requires that the following complete documents should be handed over to Ronish Nigeria Limited at least 3 working days prior to the vessel’s/aircraft’s arrival to ensure smooth handling and clearing of cargo avoiding delays resulting in rent / demurrage and overtime clearing charges.

Original Bill of Lading or Airway Bill, endorsed by the consignee to “Delivered to the order of Ronish Nigeria Limited.”
Original Pre Arrival Assessment Report (PAAR)
Tax Identification Number (TIN)
Original Final / Commercial Invoice
Combined Certificate of Value and Origin (CCVO)
Manufacturer’s Certificate
Original Packing List
Copy of approved Form “M” with original stamp/signature from the authorized issuing bank
Copy of Nigeria Marine Insurance Certificate (obligatory) showing premium amount
Other permits as applicable (valid original duty exemption certificate, VAT exemption certificate, pharmacy permit, chemical analysis, NAFDAC, SONCAP  etc.)

Personal Effects

Original Bill of Lading or Airway Bill, endorsed by the consignee to “Deliver to the order of Ronish Nigeria Limited.”
Copy of approved Form “M” showing stamp/signature of the authorized bank
Tax Identification Number (TIN)
Original Invoice
Original Packing List
Original International Passport with valid Resident Permit
Personal Unaccompanied Baggage Declaration (PUBD)

Diplomatic Goods

Original Bill of Lading or Airway Bill, endorsed by the consignee to “Delivered to the order of Ronish Nigeria Limited.”
Original Invoice
Original Form CC1 approved by the Foreign Affairs Ministry for personal effects
Original Form CC2 approved by Ministry for food items
Original Form CC3 approved by Ministry for vehicles
Original Diplomatic Passport
